Çamlibel is approximately 15 miles west of Kyrenia and 40 minutes from the airport Ercan.  Areas of interest  west of Camlibel include Xeros where copper has been exported for 4,000 years  ( it is uncertain if copper gets its name from Cyprus or Cyprus from copper) the Roman ruins at Soli, the Persian castle at Vouni and the golf course .  Famagusta, Salamis and the Karpas are to the east.  Southeast is the capital Lefkosa [ Lefkosa/Nicosia] which has many restored Ottoman houses and places of interest.  Everywhere is within an easy day's journey.
